It has been reported that after the mild success of the NES Classic console, according to Eurogamer and after multiple credible leaks, Nintendo has announced that they will be releasing a SNES Classic console later this year around Christmas time. Not much is known about the mini console other than it will have 30 games on it like the NES Classic. Most people are expecting games like Super Mario Kart, Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country and Star Fox to be on the console but with a library of over 700 titles to choose from, some games that players are demanding might not make it onto the console. Nintendo is expected to stick with the plug-n-play aspect that made the NES Classic popular.
What we can speculate is that the console will most likely be a limited run just like the NES Classic was supposed to be (even though people want it to keep going). Hopefully there will be less supply issues when it debuts later this year. We will keep you up to date as information is released.
