Dragon Ball FighterZ Review
When it comes to Dragon Ball games, especially fighting games, it has always tried to find a symmetry of a good story and fighting mechanics. When they moved the franchise into a 3D realm with the Budokai series of games, it started to falter. So when Dragon Ball FighterZ was announced, many fans wondered was it going to suffer the same fate?
There are parts of Dragon Ball FighterZ that simply looks amazing, but other areas are in need of improvement. During the campaign, one massive issue (imo) is the lackluster look of the characters during a cutscene and the unnecessary use of the RPG element used for advancing dialogue. However, where they lack in one department, they certainly make up in others. With the use of 2D instead of 3D, the characters while fighting, look like their anime counterparts which leads to times where if it wasn’t for the lifebar, you would think you were in the anime itself. Another high point is the controls, the team did an amazing job of making the game feel smooth while balancing the controls to the point that it would be easy for casual players to pick up ye leave enough for hardcore players to master. All in all, Dragon Ball FighterZ is a great new step for a franchise that was beginning to lose itself with overzealous 3D fighting entries.

The game has been delayed until mid October of this year, but lets take a look at what was leaked in the meantime.
