In one of the worst kept secrets on the internet in recent days, but Bethesda finally announced Rage 2. A sequel to Rage, a 2011 first person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic future following the event of asteroid 99942 “Apophis” hitting Earth. Fast forward to last week where Walmart Canada “accidentally” leaked a listing for Rage 2 and Bethesda respond to the listing with a tweet in hilarious fashion.

One thing that made this so interesting is that the Rage twitter account had been silent for a long time so for them to come out and “attack” this listing meant that there was some truth to the “accident”. Now, Bethesda has released the trailer to Rage 2 and it is something. Here is the release trailer:
At the moment, Rage 2 is being developed by ID Software (who made the original) and Mad Max & Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios (although their role has not been revealed yet). Not much is known at the moment, but they will be revealing gameplay at some point today and when they do, we will update this post.
