Let’s keep our wits about us, this is a leak and not an official announcement, and because things can change a lot in the last year of a game’s development, we will keep our enthusiasm tempered.
The game has been delayed until mid October of this year, but lets take a look at what was leaked in the meantime.
Due to the popularity of PUBG and Fortnite, Red Dead will most certainly be part of the online functionality. Some say it will host 50 people, narrow it down to 2, and then have a stand off that everyone can watch in cinematic mode. Very westernlike.
Some multiplayer modes are Revive and Survive and Money Grab, according to the leak. You can start to see that maybe Rock “EA” Star is taking some of the best ideas from other IP’s and putting them in this flagship project.
In the first person mode they will have a campaign and a multiplayer mode. I imagine the multi-player could work very similar to Watch Dogs 2. Do I have to mention, again its like another game?
RDR2 Online is going to be a western version of GTA Online. It will most likely bring in millions if not billions of dollars for Rock “EA” Star.
Much like Bethesda coming out with companion app to go along with their game, the RDR2 will also release with a companion app, with social elements involved and mini games like poker.
Finally, the single player campaign will rely heavy on the players choices and morality decisions. Being a dick, or an evil person will result in people becoming hostile with you quicker, people running from you or even attacking you without provocation. Of course you can be a good guy where people will praise you and help with any quests you have much more freely.
Again this is a “leak” but multiple sources have confirmed parts of it so at some level, there is fact.
